Sacramento Medical Marijuana Patient Reviews

I went to this club last week and it was the worst club I have ever been to! I purchased some clones from them and when I got home I noticed they were full of mites. Their meds looked like last year's outdoor so I decided not to purchase any. This place is a joke. Their ad in the News and Review is complete bull!I had to wait 30 minutes and there was only 4 other people in the store. You can tell that the owner of this club hired a bunch of kids to work for cheap! They were screwing around, laughing, taking nothing seriously, and had no clue about the meds they sell. It was so bad I asked to speak with the owner! I promise you this place is a waste of your time and money. Just read the other reviews. I wish I had because I would have never gone. Poor service and the worst meds and clones in town. This club should be shut down! |

This place is phenomenal! I don't know what the bad reviews on here are all about but today was my first experience and it was all good! A friend who is helping me with my chemo treatments took me here today and we both had a great experience. They verified us really quickly and we went right in to the dispensing area where we were offered drinks and cookies (I was too nauseous after the drive but it was a nice gesture). The dispensary is super nice and clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They have a great selection of clones and meds in smokable and edible form. They also take their patient's safety and confidentiality very serious so you're safe and you feel like you're at a nice pharmacy which is how it should be! The icing on the cake was that I got a fat (4.0g) 1/8th of some very nice top shelf medicine and the price was fantastic. It did exactly what the bud tender said it would do...get rid of my nausea without knocking me out. I was told that they are opening two new locations and one of them is close to me in Cameron Park. I can't wait until they open...I've found my new dispensary and after my experience today, I see no reason to go anywhere else! |

This club is total hit or miss. If you get the same budtender, 1 out of 5 is actually nice, then you can have a good experience and get something that is fairly priced. Honestly their bud is sub par but priced well with a wide variety of outdoor selections. Usually really old and kinda dusty.. makes me cough (not the really good way eithe). Knowledge is again hit or miss with these guys. Most don't care to further their knowledge either. The staffs actions are juvenille and give medical marijuana a bad name. However, two guys there really do work hard and like I said they are worth it.
Security and front desk people are really friendly and give me just the right feeling needed when purchasing meds. |

Well I have been going to RCW for the last 5 months and love it there. I like the budtenders and the quality and prices are good. Even the bottom shelf is better than most places top shelf. I will be going there until I move and that won't be anytime soon. |

You guys are cool just step up on edibles and your prices are the best so keep up with that and just keep doing your thing. |

What's up with the say no on Prop 19 signs all over? Saying something about getting 7 years in jail for handing someone under 18 a joint? Um...???? (And the horrible customer service? Stacy, who always makes me feel rushed and that I'm bothering her, And Brian, the owner (?), who was jibber jabbering with some girl while I stood there at the counter waiting for him, I had to actually stop him and tell him what I wanted after standing there for 5 minutes) Save your money, go to FWC. |

This place used to be fabulous! The staff was friendly and knowledgable, the strains were plentiful and potent. There was one budtender in particular that I loved dealing with because of his knowledge and passion of his job and his patients that had recently been terminated according to another employee. And because he wasn't there, I was very weary on looking through my choices and asking my normal set of questions concerning my ailments. The other budtenders acted as if no one was around, including their language and subject matter. It basically seemed like I didn't exist. Now the prices and selection are awesome, no complaints. But customer service and knowledge is key to running a business. I was sad to see this certain budtender go and I am confident I will find him at another location in Sacramento, and that is where I will take my business, but I will never, ever, ever visit this place again. Plus what's with the wand?? I'm disabled and getting my medicine, don't treat me like a criminal. On that note, security wasn't much, they might want someone that's a little more scary looking. Giving one star is too much. |

I like this club, it has the dank at a good price, if that's what you're looking for and if you're not than what are you going to the club for? A business where they sell weed, get over the "patient rights stuff" you guys. We smoke weed, and they sell it. Really! If you want better weed for cheaper, than grow it or buy it from a kid in the ghetto! |

I have been visiting River City since they where located in Oak Park. They where friendly and always had good cannabis for a good price. It has changed, everything is different and they no longer can provide good cannabis for a fair price. I decided to try other clubs and there are many to choose from at better prices and better quality. Don't get stuck in one club, try others. |

This place is the worst experience and most negative feeling I have ever felt leaving a club, or about Medical Marijuana! I hate this place with a passion and to me it represents what I hope the other clubs don't turn into. It's worse than going to the Kaiser pharmacy. At least at Kaiser I don't feel like I'm in county jail. They wave you over to an area where this guy is telling me you can't have a cell phone or any other electrical device, and waving me with a wand up and down. I started taking off my shoes and the guy stopped me. I hear them tell somebody sitting on their couch with their ride that unless the driver had a card they would have to go sit in the car. Great now we have a situation where we have a bunch of people sitting in cars in the parking lot next to a mexican restaurant waiting for the "buyers". One more step in making dispenseries look bad. |

I went to River City and the budtenders didn't even know what they were talking about when I ask them questions. They were all a bunch of kids playing around. Jumping up and down and not paying any attention to the people that were there. At one point I looked over to my right and noticed there was a budtender not helping anyone and he was weighing stuff out, then putting it in his pocket and walking to the bathroom. That's when I left and will never go back. Look in the budtenders pockets if you want to find the Fire! |

In one word, I found my club. I went in to River City Collective today looking for some good purp, which I like because it mellows me out. The guy who help me guided me to the right stuff, and I wound up buying two oz's of purple Mr. Nice. It's some good stuff, and the prices are affordable. Also, the place is nice, clean, and comfortable with nice people. Thank you, and I will be back. |

I have been to a dozen places in the Sac area over the past 6 months. The top 5 offer up about the same good quality of product, but, River City kicks butt in customer satisfaction. I was looking for some good clones to try next, and the guys all pointed me in the right direction. From the location, to the guards, to the budtenders above average knowledge of all the products, this buds for you!! Make River City your next stop. Try out the top shelf pre-rolled. Bam! Prices of Wal-mart, but the quality of Cabela's. |

If you like really cheap, old and dry weed, then this is the place for you. They have a great selection, just nothing that I would smoke. I prefer top shelf meds, even if I need to pay a little more to get them. |

Been going to RCWC for a long time back in the Broadway days. The customer service is usally great but the last two visits for me leave me longing for the old days when the people who own this place were at the counter. Yesterday I ask for a quarter of Indica and the guy put two jars down and says this is the best we have, but its sativa. Okay heres the name of the strains, Trainwreck and Seni Star, both are not sativas. So I play with this kid and I say well, I know trainwreck is a stavia but isn't senistar a hybrid? Of which he answers yes. So there's my problem. Good thing I was looking for Indica, because the patients who are looking to take care of certain needs and not just looking for a high. I dont think the young kids get it. I still have mad love for RCWC but don't forget the customer service. Still can't beat the prices. |

I saw the add in the SNR, with the whole menu, however when I went to the dispensary, they had very little they listed. The guy was very rude when I asked him about it, and all the meds they did have in stock were very dry. Plus I noticed that they were weighing the meds right in front of people, not even wearing gloves! I will never go here again. |

Last year's outdoor? No, thanks. Where is the true top shelf hydro at? I didn't really appreciate the staff either, too much testosterone for me. I don't recommend. |

Ok... their top shelf is far from top shelf - it's average. I'm not sure who grades the product, but maybe they're new to the game. also, I hate being wanded down and told about what I can't have in my pockets. I'm not robbing, hurting, or phoning anybody. We've got cards just like you. Anyways, the 2 waiting room system is a joke... the final room is absurd. Expect to wait longer than waiting for homeboy in the parking lot at the liquor store - ya digg? Also, am I the only one who hates waiting for indecisive customers who want to look and touch every strain in the store? C'mon guys... other than that; they have the most friendly and approachable staff in the city, those guys are awesome... |

I've been there 4 times. The first 2 times I got 4 quaters of their best purps on hand. GDP (which was the best GDP I've ever seen), purple erkle was awesome, purple kush was really good, and grape ape was good, too. It was expensive, but each one was half gram over. I wasn't real happy, but satisfied enough to go back and do it again. |

I'm not sure if the people who posted on this page visited the same club that I did, because my experience was nothing short of spectacular. The place was clean and the service superb. Plus they have the best prices, hands down. I haven't been to too many clubs, but they have the widest selection I have seen. Very friendly and helpful staff, even though it was busy. I will be back! |

Not only is this the best place to go, but the service was immaculate, immpeccable and impressive. The prices were hands down the hottest in town (not to mention the guys). I would recommend this club to anyone. I will be back. |

This was my first visit to any club so I didn't really know what to expect. The place looks like any other storefront in a shopping center and the parking was just as appropriate. Once inside I was greeted by two guys both wearing business attire. It looked like a reception area at a doctor/dentist office, very clean. One checked me in, took maybe 2 minutes. The other guy was security with a metal detector(for guns/knives? I presumed). It made me feel like I was in a safe environment. However since I was there with my buddy who was there the day before and chatted it up with the guys pretty good, We didn't get the metal detector. On to the main room where it was quite overwhelming, in a good way. There were sets of chairs for waiting while your number to be called.(unemployment office/DMV chairs?) There were shelves along the back wall with plants, maybe 50-100 plants of each strain. about 5-6 strains. There are tv monitors with the available strains grouped by price. The selection was where the overwhelming part comes in. At least 5 and up to 15 strains in each price grouping. I was like a kid in a candy store. When they call your number, you go up to a counter with windows kind of like a bank. At each window there was a basket with 25-30 little jars. Each jar was labeled clearly what kind it was. Also behind the counter there were big jars. You could look at the buds, touch the buds, smell the buds as long as you don't touch your nose or put it in your nose.(I never thought about it before but I don't want to smoke something thats been "smelled alot") Danny was our tender and he was very cool-seemed knowledgeable, and was't pushy. I took probably 15 minutes looking at the variable brands and prices and nugs. I was looking for top shelf and Danny suggested Lemon Erkle but I didn't like the way the nugs looked. I chose a 1/2 oz Blue Dream. Danny said that the Lemon Erkle was better and suggested I get 1gram in my half to try. I did and should have listened to Danny. The lemon Erkle was better but both were pretty good. I also got some mid grade Pot of Gold. Good for the daytime, energizing, but it did give me a headache. The selection is great, the prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. They also give you a free joint with some hash with EVERY purchase. I'm going to try other places to see what's out there but I will go back to River City Wellness. |

This place is a cross between going to the DMV and prison. They basically give you a cavity search before walking in the door and then you take your number and you wait and wait and wait. When your number is finally called, they will show you their so called high grade. It is crap and everything looks like it has been kiefed out. |

Saturday I decided to go and check this place out. I've heard a lot good things about it, and I've also read a lot of bad reviews on this site. So, I went up to check it out for myself. Since it was my first time I had to get verified and it took maybe 5 minutes. I got my ticket and went into the bud room. I may have been lucky but no one was there. Ok, like 3 people, one in which was my buddy I went up with. Since no one was there I got to go right up to the counter. I told them it was my first time and got the rundown. I knew I was going to get a half Oz. and I knew I was going topshelf. I asked to see the big jars behind the servers. She grabbed three jars that all looked and smelled great. I ended up looking at like 8 or 10 different jars. She then told me I could get the half in 1/8's or 1/4's, which pumped me up. Then a few of the other staff members gave their opinion on what was fire and what was fresh in stock. So I got 1/8 Afawreck, 1/4 Pineapple express(this stuff was like a rock, I love that) and 1/8 Grandaddy purp which looked so yummy. They also had a special bud in called Mr Nice Guy (bomb). When it came time to weight it out, I ended up getting about a gram free and no big stems. I also got a free joint and a gram of hash, which they don't always do the hash. I also took my time and i never felt rushed or like people were waiting because they have a good staff there working to take care of everyone. |

This is my regular dispensary and I've used it roughly 5 times at the old place and 5 times at the new place. I agree with some other reviews on certain issues so here are my thoughts. 1. Price your stock on potency and effect, not name and looks. 2. Drop the price of your top shelf. 3. Have at least one counter for express purchases. The wait time is ridiculous at some points during the month. 4. (Ok this one is big but hey, dream big...) Increase customer input on your strains and price accordingly. Let us rate the strains on a website or even on a card while we wait. If you are having problems grouping things into low, middle and top shelf pricing tiers then this system will ensure your best stock gets your premium price. 5. Keep staff that aren't working or performing other tasks out of the customer service room. It's very frustrating to be sitting for a long period of time and see staff standing around and not helping the large amount of waiting customers. Basically, take your breaks in the back. |

I went to this club for the first time about a week ago. The building is nice and the entire staff was wearing uniforms and were very professional. I walked in the door to be greeted by a guard and a man behind a desk, both wearing nice suts and well groomed. I noticed one very attractive female working there as well. It took about 5 minutes to get verified and then they gave me a ticket number I took to the bud room where I waited about 10 mintues before being called up to the counter where I was greeted by a nice and professional bud tender. They are all males working in the bud room, about 20 of them. I asked the tender for the best top shelf sativa in the house. The tender next to him went and grabbed two big bottles with two different kinds of marijuana in each one. As I glanced down at them the first bud tender that was helping me opened up one and said this is really the best one of the two, it normally sells out in the first day we get it. I checked out the bud and it didn't have many crystals on it, but it smelled really clean and good. I don't remember what the name of the strain is and his writing on the sticker on the bag isn't good enough to read. It starts with an A and ends with a R. When I got home and tried some of it, it was just a very low mellow feeling if any and I couldn't seem to get much effect out of it no matter how much I smoked. After smoking this strain for a week I am starting to wonder if it's even a female plant. I mean it must be, but there is just no medicating effect whatsoever. Yesterday I smoked big bong rips all day long, one right after another and it hardly had any effect on me. If this is the best stuff in the house and their top shelf I'd hate to see what the $28 1/8's are like. I also bought a big jumbo roll (joint) and smoked half of one of them and it did nothing to me. I got tired of smoking it and put it out. He gave me another one of them for free since it was my first time so I opened it up before even lighting it and looked at the so called marijuana that is in it and it doesn't even look like marijuana at all. There are no crystals on it, it's brown and it smells like that fake weed they sell in high times. I'm not sure what it is about cannabis clubs, but I used to get better stuff off the street 15 years ago than what is being offered at these so called professional cannabis clubs. When I got my prescription I thought I was really going to get some good stuff at the clubs, but I guess not. Is there anywhere to get 2 or 3 hit stuff? Or was I just lucky to have tried that kind of marijuana at one time in my life? As far as River City Wellness Collective goes I would not go back and if you do go don't ask for the best stuff in the house cause it will cost you $160 for a half oz of marijuana that has hardly any thc content in it. |

I used to love this club back when it was in a bad neighborhood, and I could walk in, walk up to the counter and check out all their middle and high grades in the jars, take nugs out and look at them, etc., and be out of there knowing I had looked thoroughly in about 10 minutes and made the best purchase I could for my money. |

I just wanted to say that I was the first to write a review about River City and wanted to add a few more thoughts. River City to me is still the best place in town to get the best meds in town at a very good price. Some are saying they jack up prices, but that is just not the case. The prices are the same as they have always been. I do have to say I would not purchase the top shelf because at some point the move to the special top shelf, so why pay more? The staff is still very nice and if you're waiting, what does that tell you? That is a good thing. People go where the goods are, so for a good price and good meds, there's a wait. When you get your turn they take the time to show you anything you want, without making you feel like you must hurry. So with that this is still the best in town for price and quailty. Thank you RCW |

I've been to the old location and to the new one. Overall, it's a decent club. I recommend this club to anyone on a budget who wants (or needs) to stick to under $40 an 8th or less than $70 a quarter. -They weigh buds right in front of you and they weigh heavy: my 1/8ths were around 4g, and grams at about 1.2. |
|
Posted April 28, 2010 |

Used to be one of my favorite spots. Then they moved to a new location. Jacked their prices up and top that with at least a 20 minute wait everytime. I have been in there for 45 minutes waiting for meds. |

Great staff and quality meds! Not to mention a great selection. Most of the time there are a lot of people there, but they are just trying to get quality meds as well. Keep up the good work! |

Here it is, the club to take the time to go back after you do. You'll be back or my name isn't, well, you don't have to worry what my name is. You'll be back though, that's what matters. Cheap grams and ozs, or you can spend a little more and take it to the limits. Look, I've been around here, there and back, from the Bay to LA, Sac to the Oregon border. I'm not sayin it's the best but I am sayin it's nice and they're nice. The wait might be long, but go grab a bite after you sign in. Enjoy. |

I have been to this club and I would say they are consistent at two things: Dirt cheap bud and making me wait 45 minutes. I can't talk bad about them because the staff is super friendly, they always weigh the buds over, and you can't beat the prices. But you get what you pay for. For a 65 dollar quarter you get bud that doesn't compare to other local dispensaries, and you better pencil out an hour of your day to sit and count the tiles. They only have one cash register and it often sits idle while you wait for each customer one at a time to analyze every strain on the shelf. |

New place is very nice, but it should not take over an hour to pick up medicine. I felt like I was at Kaiser. The weed is ok, but not worth the wait. |

This collective sucks. I sat in the room for a good 20 minutes just to be verified. I watched them misplace 2 different peoples IDs and scripts. Then, after I waited, they wanted me to sit in another even smaller room with hella other people to have my full name called to even get to the counter to check out the meds. F this collective. |

I have to agree with Aaron G on what he said. Don't get me wrong, the staff is great and I would recommend anyone to go but they have gotten a little greedy and upped their prices. The same type of meds I use to pick up has now gone up in prices and they say it's different stuff but come on, really? I've been a smoker a long time now and can tell what's what. Go back to the way you guys use to be when I first found your adds in the SNR which was the home of 50$ 1/4 and 28$ 1/8. They have moved pretty far from me now so give a good reason to be that loyal patient that I was. |

This is now a Class AAA place!! This collective recently moved and this move has increased the size of the parking, patient and cloning facilities. This is now located in a safer area of town for safe access. This is a class operation. They have nearly 20 + strains of "Top Shelf" alone at capped prices! They have a large selection of a few well known strains of clones. Very clean and well managed. Staff is friendly and helpful! |

There was a 20 minute wait to get into the main room, then it was going to be another 20 minute wait in the main room because they are totally disorganized. There's no order of any kind in the main room. When I walked into the main room I was initially impressed by the large number of clones until strains and nothing I wanted. I can't talk about the meds because I never made it that far and I won't be back. While I was in the outer room I noticed at least half a dozen people who had gone into the main room left without buying anything. Now I know why. There are a lot of dispensaries in Sacramento so there's no reason to put up with a club this poorly run. |

I don't know what day the guy above came in on but the trip I took here was a little different. It's hands down the best club around. The customer service is impeccable, the selection is almost overwhelming, there's so much to choose from, and the prices are amazing. I got an eighth of some super sticky quirkel for 35 bucks that would easily sell for fifty or more at other clubs and to boot the guy weighed it up to 4.1! So this is the place to go, no need to shop around. They got it all, plus a joint and some hash on every visit. |

They are the best in town. The people there are very helpful and thoughtful. No matter how you are feeling that day, once you have visited their store you will shop nowhere else. The medical cannabis has helped my mother for every kind of pain she has had. And thanks to Rivercity Wellness my mother can have her meds at a low price. I highly recommend them to any and everyone who needs medical cannabis. |

Hands down River City Wellness is the best club in Sac. On Monday, I went in for my first time and the staff was all really chill and helpful, the coolest people. They had a nice selection of clones to look at while I waited to be helped at the counter. When I got to their counter, it was lined with all these different jars, all full. They had great variety at low prices, starting at $28 an 1/8, unheard of anywhere else. I picked up 1/4 of outdoor boonana, great smell, nice big dense nugs, $50!! No where else in Sac have I found 1/4 for $50. That alone will keep me a dedicated patient. They relocated today to a location off of I-80, and I am disappointed that I have to drive 40 minutes now to pick up my meds, but you can't beat the high quality for low prices that RCW supplies. |

This used to be my favorite club. I'm afraid since they started getting bigger, they also started getting greedy (or just have too much to handle). The only reason they got big is the $200 ounce topshelf special that they ran for months and then once they got their loyal customers, they upped the prices. They used to give out hash and a joint with every visit and now they seem to be done with the hash. Additionally the third cake I purchased (different week) was significantly smaller than the rest. Add the crazy wait lines in both the lobby and the main room, and you're looking at 30 minutes. The overall quality seems to have taken a turn for the worse, but you get what you pay for. At $65 a 1/4 it's not bad. The staff is nice and helpful and they will usually give a little extra. Whether you get potent meds, is hit or miss. I just wish this place was the same as it was back in October. I'll probably keep going until they move way out to Natomas but if you guys read this, c'mon--get back to what made you guys good! |

Ladies and Gentlemen!! Smokers and Tokers!! Yes, there is a heaven away from heaven at the River city wellness club. My first time there felt like I was in the movie"Half baked". They have the best prices hands down and have the best strains for the cheapest price. Where can you get an 1/8 of master kush for under $30 or buy one get one free of "earth quake, or Pineapple Express"? Huh? What, I can't hear you. Oh, and they have the best deals on clones and they treat you like your a king with the best service and snacks and drinks while you wait. Also they give you a free joint and hash with every purchase. I love going there and I go no where else. I don't care what someone says about another club. It is also secure and clean and has a friendly staff that greet you with a warm smile. Check them out, and this is a customer saying this, not a worker. Now excuse me, I gotta blaze this Berry White Budd. Peace, and remember Marijuana is a medicine, not a drug. |

First off, let me start by saying this club is hands down the best. How many other clubs actually give you more than what you pay for? Just for that I will go back and for the staff, well they actually talk to you and not just to make a sale. I will be back to RCW over and over again! |

This is by far the absolute best dispensary in Sacramento! The staff was courteously helpful. You could tell they honestly care! Plus the prices are unbeatable ($170 Oz mid - $200 Oz Top Shelf Special). They even have eights at $28 and grams at $10! The quality of the top shelf medicine was the best that I have ever seen at any club so far! Well worth the extra money! They had the widest selection of strains to choose from, compared to most! Many healthy clones at reasonable prices($7-$10). They even gave me a joint and some hash and when I asked they said, "it comes with every purchase". The only complaint I have is I didn't see any mother plants for sale and that they are closed on Sundays. |

They made us stand in the street for 10 minutes while they sorted out paper work. Then a 20 minute wait to get in the second door. Then we couldn't get the time of day from the staff. We left. |

Once again this club has come to the rescue .I live in the heart of midtown but I don't mind taking a short trip to rcw. Although I went to another club first and they had nothing but high priced midgrade for 18 a gram. Then I went to river city and they had better meds and for cheaper very freindly staff, no ones stuck up and the girl behind the counter is helpfull. Thank you river city wellness for getting me top shelf meds at great prices! |

New to all this only been to 3 places but this is by far my favorite so far. They are very nice, talk to me by my first name and you can see all the product right in front of you and you are able to smell and they weigh and package in front of you as well. Not to mention, the freebies you get every time you purchase meds. Free fatty and hash, nice... The peanut butter cookie was tasty and lasted a long time. That was my first experience with an edible. Will do again, no problem! I highly recommend this collective. The only downside is the location. Not the best but you do feel safe inside and truly have great customer service. All the good heavily outweigh the bad. Happy Times! |

Really nice spot. Great meds. Very high quality cannabis. Reasonable prices. CAP: $50 1/8ths $390 Ounce. Minus one star for occasional spotty clones. |

I dont think people know the address. So yesterday was my third time to this collective. Great range of choices. They weight it in front of you and for me the PRICES can not be beat. Lots lots lots of choices and at these prices you can live without giving up paying the elec. bill or something like that. |

This place is great!
It took some time for my Drs office to respond. The people here were very nice and made sure I knew what was going on. |

Okay, what a very very nice collective. First time there today, what a nice suprise. Lots of meds and the ad I saw in SNR was not just a come on. Really can't wait to go to one of the free classes they offer, yoga-growing-meds. Did I mention free, weekly not just once a month. I will be glad to go back! |
