I'm not going to blame the medicine, it looked and smelled good, but after I grinded the whole 8th with my brand new grinder. It had zero kief. Poor reviews are very true about this club. I never write reviews about anyting, but I feel an obligation to write one this time to protect all sacramento area club-goers.

1st: For sure do not buy their white widow because it is hella weak and not potent at all. I bought an ounce and pretty much wasted my money and when I called them to tell about how weak and fake it was, the guy said final sale and there is nothing in the world we can do to earn your business again. So screw you then cwc, I'll just go to any one of the thrity nine other clubs in sactown.

2nd: There are a bunch of wannabe kids working in there who pretend to know everything there is to know about cannabis and think their hella cool or something

3rd: Their prices are stupid high considering the quality of their product.

4th: Avoid this place and spend your hard earned cash in a more quality place because CWC is weak just like their product.

They offer to the gaurd to give me a tour. the gaurd kinda ignored her, so she gave the tour and she gave me a free card for a four doller edible. I bought a gram for 17 of the indgrid and it was bomb looking and the buzz lasted for 20 min. Good brownie though, got a little head change.

This club has gone way down hill since I started going to it. Run by a bunch of kids. The security guard is a real pain in the ass. This guy has to be the most uptight guy ive ever seen at a club. He kicked me out for supposebly smoking in the parking lot on over a block away!

Do they own the street or the parking lot ? NO.
Can they prove it ? NO.
Is there a law against it ? NO

The next time I went the security guard said "Donald guess what......your banned from our club for smoking" in a smart ass tone of voice. Its just as well, so I went to see the guys over at another dispensary and they welcomed me right in with a smile. What a difference. I got some private reserve "Eurple" that blows away anything Captitol Wellness has to offer.

The guy before me at CWC was turned away also for not having two pieces of ID (more proof as to what a biatch that security guard is), even though he buys there every week, had his doctors Rec (which they make you produce every time u go), he's in their member list on their computer (all that's not enough evidence to prove your a member?). I sense some heavy paranoia going on. These guys have zero respect and treat you like dirt. What in the heck is wrong them? If any club was to get an award for being an as*h*** these guys are number one and should get a trophy. It's like they go out of their way to make trouble for you. These guys are control freaks like no club I've ever been to before and I've been to a lot(dozens) in different areas.

One day I even saw the guard almost get into a fight with a guy that got out of his car to stretch his legs on the street. The security guard told him to get back in his car or else. Does CWC own this street too? You don't own the street and can't tell citizens, to not get out of their car. It's 100% legal for someone to get out of their car and stretch their legs if they wish. It is however 100% illegal for CWC to tell anyone they cant walk on the public sidewalk. I mean give me a a break. R u guys for real?

By the way the few times I did get served at this place, I noticed the staff were phony, fake and ignorant on top of all the other crap. They will tell you something is good when it is low grade backyard boogie schwag.

Avoid this club at all costs. Theres much better clubs in town to spend your hard earned money at. These guys try extra hard to bust your B****. excuse my language but I have never been treated like this at any club. Period. The medicine is over priced and tastes like chemicals most the time. I wish everyone would boycott this place. I thought they were suppose to be in the business of lifting people's spirits not chewing them out for every little thing they can find. Where is the Love?

This weekend of August 1st, CWC had a very limited selection with only 1 sativa variety available (Blue Dream), and only 2 indica meds available. They usually carry many different strains buy not recently. I know that it's the middle of summer and all, but they did not have this prpoblem last year.

In the last 6 months, CWC has expanded their business by opening another store. Moreover, they are opening a store in the Bay area as well. Oh, and don't forget their shop in Tahoe. Perhaps the expansion rate is compromising their ability to adequately stock the local dispensary.

I've never seen a high priced eighth here. Medium price, Sure! I understand the comments about the young staff, but they've always been friendly to me. When you hire for a collective, there's a very small segment of society who are going to feel comfortable working there, so you kind of have take what you can get.

I've only had one experience in over a year of shopping here and that was with coming home with some Blackberry Kush that was over-dried and under-flushed at harvest. Everything else performed as it was described to me. In the months after outdoor season, they will carry as many as 30 strains, last week they were down to about 12.

But, the Medical Marijuana industry can become so much more. As clients, we just have to keep supporting the industry we love.

I like to think the Medical Marijuana industry is what will bring all walks of life together. Who cares where we come from as long as we can enjoy our medicine in peace and comfort. Not having to duck and hide. This is all love.

I'd heard about the two CWC places. Anyways, I went to check out Capitol Wellness Center and the first thing that happened was my getting screamed at because I didn't put my I.D. in straight enough for him in their poorly contructed hole. Well, he didn't like that much. It's not his fault though. He obviously needs to bluster.

That set me into "I'm not liking this place" mode.

Then, after filling out everything, I find out that besides paying extreme prices, with no veteran discount; I have to participate in "stuff." What that "stuff" is, is not explained, save for lists on a wall.

So, in short, I'd have to participate in cooking classes, or AIDS education, to get my medicine? Is that not strange? So I have to pay the highest prices in town, but I also have to waste hours of my time making cookies? Sorry, but "collective" means growers and dispensaries working together to bring aid to hurting people! Not collectives forcing people to do stuff to get their medicine! They are free to do whatever, sure!

And I'm amazed that people accept this! This is the worst place to get meds ever! It's in a rich area.

Everyone is down to earth and very caring; and about the buds: separated sativa's and indica's and a edible list, they have concentrates from tinctures, olive oil, and also water/dry sift. In response to the post by Juney B on May 5th on how price fluctuation is bad, well that is simply irrational. Do you stop using gas stations because they change their prices daily?!!! Cannabis is an agricultural commodity just like coffee, soy beans, and orange juice- all of which are subject to the price changes based on market conditions(supply and demand). CWC is the model for how a dispensary should operate. Their selection and quality is usually the best in town, however currently it has been a little inconsistent. Moreover, the competition of having 20 medical clubs in town should keep the prices in check. I remember when Sac clubs sold the premium meds for $65, now their is basically a cap on the $60 price point. CWC is still my favorite club and I have been to them all. They give the most back to the community, and recycle their fancy jars. Keep up the good work!

This is the first and only club I have tried in the sacramento area, about to try green solutions today instead however.

I had no idea what to do when I first walked up to the door. They are super paranoid about feds or something, and have a tiny slit in the door for you to slip your info through. I slipped my OCBC card and ID through but they wanted my rec. Once inside they lectured me about the right way to approach the door, and copied my rec to make a ghetto makeshift card which people end up using from then on to get into the club. this process took about 20+ mins. they gave me a free edible and a tour, and I waited in line. The normal club routine.

My general impression of their meds is not the best, anymore at least. I took a look at all of their topshelf stuff first, the $55 and $60 eighters, and was somewhat impressed. but as I've been to this club more and more, the people behind the counter seem less and less friendly, and my impression of the meds has gone down. Sometimes I will look at the top shelf stuff, and then look at maybe a $35 or $40 8th and not be impressed at all with the difference. I bought a $14 g ($45 8th) the other day simply because it didnt look like it was of much less quality than the topshelves. This was on 420 as well, and they gave me a nice fat free pre-roll joint. You really get what you pay for if you are smoking on a budget, the cheaper 8ths really live up their prices. Straight garbage often times. So anyways, this $45 8th of "Ewe-Too" which was labeled "U2" on the board was really $30 worthy. At first I kinda liked it, but then I held a bud in between 2 fingers and gently squeezed and it turned into powder. Really not crystally like I would expect for a $45 8th, earthy smell. All of their meds look like straight outdoor stuff.

I want to give this club a 2-star rating but their customer service and setup is pretty good I must admit. They are very anal about the process of buying in there however. My first time I was walking to the door on my way out and simply.. opened it... and got completely bitched out. "You never open the door yourself. Always wait for someone to open it for you!""... ok... thanks for telling me that in the beginning. The guy hadn't even reached for the door to open it by the time I touched the handle. Once again they are very paranoid about cops.. or something...

Basically, the reason for the bad rating, is I come from Oakland, and I come from Oakland trees. Comparing the medications I get at this place to the norm in oakland is a whole world of difference. for example, comparing the $45 8th nugs I bought there to the normal $44 8ths such as G-13, Skunk, Blue Dream, Purple Kush, etc and all the $44's are bomb bomb bomb. You would definitely have to pay $60 for the same quality of meds at this place (or more if they could get away with it).

Needless to say, this club has given me a bad impression on tree in Sacramento, which is the reason for me trying a new place today.

Tax is worked into the prices by the way. You pay the price as marked, which is always nice. and one last thing I bought a couple $5 edibles there once and the lady told me "these are at least one dose, but two for most people. they are small but don't underestimate them, they pack a hard punch"

I ate 3/4 of one of the said edibles and didnt feel much.

Liked the Hemp store they had and all the classes to take part in. I'm giving a 4 star rating cuz I didn't see the clones if they had any at all I don't know I was in a rush and had a ride waiting so I just got a 8th of some indica called "Ingrid A" really nice sedative buzz I was looking for but the only thing I don't like about Ingrid A is that you go from feeling nice and medicated to "whoa I'm totally sober all of a sudden" the buzz just disappears which may be good for some folks. Let's be real. CWC is truly the model for how dispensaries should be run. No. They are not giving meds away, but I do know that my money is spent bettering the community. The hospice house program is a great project bringing stability to some of the most vulnerable patients in the collective. Tearing down a burned down crack-house to make a community garden is a transformative project that will surely make our community a nicer place to live.

There is no other dispensing collective involved in the changing of law and policy on cannabis medicines. A driving force behind the front lines of cannabis activism, it comforts me to kno that this dispensary is one of the top donors of American's for Safe Access' brilliant efforts.

I am always so impressed with the diversity of the environment and the open minded nature of their staff. The wide array of services and classes are second to none. I am saddened that more dispensaries to not provide this collective environment and dedicate more of their resources to providing a more complete sense of well-being in their experiences.

If i want to visit a marijuana 7-Eleven I will go elsewhere, but I believe that being a part of this community makes me a better person, and for that I am grateful. Best of luck in that great new facility.

If you havent noticed the place has grown a lot and there will be changes with this and that is because CWC is excellent. They have donated and helped out the community a lot. They don't just care about selling they care about you as a patient.

I have been a patient for about 3 years now, and this is the only club in sacramento that I go to. I've been to many other ones, but this specifically seems to be the best. Everyone is super nice and on a first name basis with the members of the collective. They are full of knowledge on the healing elements of herb. This collective also offers more classes on a variety of subjects than I think we even had in high school. This place has done wonders in my life, and makes me a much more accepting person of my condition and how to help it.

Seems there all about making money these days and the customer comes in second! I payed $55 for a Purple Neopaled and they gave me a lower grade Purple Kush and said I was wrong for not catching the mistake and they said no exchange! They made the mistake and blamed me! They don't care about you just your money!

Liked Capitol Wellness Center before the change in management or whatever happened there. Some of the same faces, but it does not feel safe anymore. Too many gang banger types and not the hippie compassionate place it used to be.

But most of all the wait times are ridiculous. Sometimes I've give up after 30 minutes just to go up stairs.

Prices are high too but they do have a good selection. Not often the best selection in all sizes though.

They also stopped selling clones for some lame reason since other clubs still sell clones....their reason was not logical. Probably don't want us growing our own medicine.

Great for all their services, but I go elsewhere for my meds. No mixing and matching. Big bummer! :-( Guy behind the counter told me once they can't because of "taxes" but that makes no sense to me. And so much of their menu you can only get in certain quantities. Because of how they work their 'pre-weigh' system there are always so many quantities of certain strains not available. X's all over the board. Hard to explain but if you go there you'll know what I'm getting at. I wish it was more simplified and they allowed mixing and matching. It's not rocket science. Doesn't make keeping the books much harder. Most places across the state are happy to mix and match. I think they use to mix and match a long time back. Wonder why they stopped? The person who operates the place is really a sweetheart. So is the chick with the wicked hair in the front. The new security is nice but I miss the old.

Their services are great. You can just sign up to use their services and then donate to them if you find any of it helpful. The receptionist was telling me not enough people take advantage of all the classes and services. I think I might start going to some.

Best Hash Selection In Town. As far as I know.

No more vapor room makes me a sad panda.

Peace. Thanks CWC for being around. It's a good thing. With some improvement it'll be a great thing. Wahooooo.

I have had nothing but excellent experiences with the Capitol Wellness Collective. The only problem I ever had was they ran out of the Lavender when I came back to get some.

To start out with, they have a huge selection. Usually twenty to forty different strains of cannabis. Many different types of concentrates and even more types of edibles. All potent and delicious.

Secondly, I never knew anyone there, and am not the most popular guy when it comes to social situations, but I was treated with respect, and kindness there. I feel like a friend, not just a client when I go there.

Thirdly, Their prices are slightly high, but with that price comes quality of medication. All their medication is quality, some more so than others. They also give you a break at the 1/4, 1/2, and oz levels.

Fourth, although it is almost fifteen miles there and fifteen miles back, with gas prices as high as they are, it is still worth going here for medications.

This is the first collective I have been to and I was impressed with their selection. The staff was very helpful. Try the Ingrid A or the F-1 Hybrid they are excellent medications. The prices are not a bargain but they are competitive with what is out there. I would highly recommend this collective.

I love them too, for all of the same reasons expressed by MK, and am glad I recently found them. They consistently have the broadest menu in town of MMJ in all forms by far, and most often the best. I am hoping they remain a "best-kept secret" but felt the need to send props!

I have been to many, many clubs and this one is by far the cleanest, safest, and friendliest collective I have ever been to. They treat everyone like family. They also have the best price and quality around. They help very ill patients, and have a compassion program.

The Wellness Center is a perfect example for every other club in California. Two enthuiastic thumbs up! I know first hand this club is in it for the people...not profit. With all the free services they provide, Its clear...Money is not the matter. Its compassion! I love Capitol Wellness!
